How To Cast a Write-In Vote

In order for a write-in vote to actually be counted, the write-in candidates MUST file paperwork with the appropriate election authorities by 1/15. WILLIAM HALLIHAN is the only one who did so for BOTH election authorities, meaning ONLY write-in votes for "William Hallihan" will be counted regardless of where the vote is cast in the district (whether within the city or in suburban Cook County). He is also the only one who filed by 1/8/26 and, without doing so by that date, this office would not even appear on the Democratic Party primary ballot.

As little as 500 write-in votes are NEEDED TO HAVE A CONTESTED RACE in November.
